You Can Poem It All - enroll
YOU CAN POEM IT ALL a poetry writing workshop with Kathleen Heil
Wednesdays online via Zoom, 7–9 PM CET
January 15–February 26, 2025
265€ / $300
In this seven-week course held online over Zoom, we will engage in deep reading, writing, and exchange around seven poems toward the creation of our own. The conversation and poems will be in English, but participants are welcome to express themselves in writing in whichever language(s) they choose. At the end of the course, we will have written seven poems inspired by our close readings of one poem each week, and come away with new techniques toward further poetic compositional possibilities. One poem we’ll dive into will be a work of literary translation, so we’ll also explore the space between spaces between a translation and the poem itself. Places are limited; all are welcome.
Kathleen Heil is the author of the poetry collection You Can Have It All (Moist Books, 2024) and the translator of The Loveliest Vowel Empties, Meret Oppenheim’s collected poems (World Poetry, 2023). Her poems appear in The New Yorker, The Stinging Fly, Poetry Daily, and elsewhere. She holds an M.F.A. in Poetry and Literary Translation from the University of Arkansas, where she also taught poetry writing, literature, and translation.
